The United Way - Funding Community Solutions

The Iroquois Trail Council is proud to be a community partner with the five United Way agencies that span our council territory. As a participating service provider, the United Way invests in the educational activities of the Boy Scouts of America that help our youth members to become all they can be.

United Way’s investment in our Scouting programs helps the Iroquois Trail Council to create a positive impact in the lives of our youth members and their families with two major outcomes in mind: our Scouts are engaged in positive behaviors, learning, academic achievement and community involvement; and they are prepared with the skills to learn, earn and succeed in the community.

There is no single cause of the problems our communities face, and there is no single solution. United Way—with the help of your workplace or direct contributions—funds many community programs throughout the Iroquois Trail Council area. These programs help address our community's most pressing issues through strategies that primarily focus on prevention and helping as many people as possible.

The United Way’s community investment decisions are made by volunteers from around the community who work alongside experts to develop policy and strategy, review requests for funding and ensure services are delivered effectively. Check out the links below to learn more about how the United Way programs are making a difference in your county. Your investment in the United Way is in investment in Scouting and in your community.
